How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2048 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Files” and s

It's the angle Jaap, here's another shot.

I find that digital cameras really struggle with capturing detail on the red feathers of these birds, it's always just a red blur, no matter how sharp the rest of the image is. Even on the original DNG the detail on the red feathers is lost.

Pure ecstasy!  Taken from a canoe, hand held -  Zuka Game Reserve SA.

SL2-S & Canon 400mm f4  USM ll & Canon 2x TC w/Sigma MC-21 adapter. (Please click on image for better res.)

I'm very pleasantly surprised with sharpness & IQ of the Canon 400mm & 2X TC combo. on the SL2-S. The results are superior to those with the same combo. on the SL2, I very seldom use the 2x TC with the Canon 400mm on the SL2, no issues however with the 1.4x TC.
