And again, a bit later and darker. Iso6400, but with 0.75 increased exposure and heavily lifted shadows.

I was testing the Sigma 105 Macro and thought I'd show the comparison at opposite ends of the available DOF without stacking. These are not at minimum focus distance.

I shot these shots in both standard resolution and multi-shot on a tripod with IBIS off. The multi-shot images didn't show any noticeable gain in resolution with equal viewing size with these particular images. They did show less noise in higher ISO test shots.

With all the puff about the Apo-Summicron-M 35, it's time for a shot with its big brother.

Impressive!

How do you find the AF with this combo? Canon 100-400 II is my favorite tele.

AF is slow but usable. AFs are the only option so shooting birds or anything else that moves fast is difficult. It requires foresight BUT in the time before AF, great photographers made great photos just by having knowledge of what they wanted to photograph. I am very happy with the lens WOW. It was great on a Canon house and can be used on the SL-S with really good results.

It`s a nice lens .

Sold mine a few days ago .

Not to keen on extendable zooms plus thinking of picking up an SL2S and wasn`t sure that the lens would work with the Sigma adapter .

It didn`t work on my Sony  with an adapter although the 70 -200 I once had was fine .

I asked here on the forum but didn`t get a reply so decided not to risk it .

Oh well  .

Oh well  .

Back when I had this lens, I was able to AF  on my Sony A7RII and MC21. Slow as a glacier, but very accurate and the IQ obviously was top notch.

Time to show the SL2-S and APO-SUMMICRON-SL 1:2/35 ASPH  some love, and not to be out done by the new Apo-Summicron-M 35.
