Beautiful image & nicely framed Helge! What a contrast to our weather in the Southern Hemisphere right now.....  What is the source of the lights?

Thanks Mike! Yes, huge contrasts in weather around the globe! The light source is a (single) Christmas star, decorating the main window facing the garden. The other reddish highlights are actually reflection in the window of me, holding the camera... The Christmas star reflected in another window is shown below.

Great images of the mountain gorillas! (for those haven't seen these, have a look at

).

A couple of days before Christmas Trinity College Choir asked me to join them on a trip to London for a performance of Bach's Christmas Oratorio in St John's Smith Square - they wanted me not for my voice but for my camera, to document the trip for their website. They sang it entirely from memory (though with one singer in each corner who had a crib sheet to tell them when to stand and sit). They had a line up of star soloists, and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment to help them (on period instruments). It was sold out (I counted about 500). Here they are, in rehearsal, and at the end of the performance.
Leica SL2-S with the 24-90 and 90-280 zooms.

This must have been a wonderful experience. Nice pics!

Thanks - and it was a great experience - one of the finest choirs in the country, and certainly one of the best choral directors in the world (Stephen Layton). And a great full size period instrument orchestra, with three natural trumpets on the top of their game.
