The vast majority of Stewart Island's natives attended a wedding of a young local couple.  Being foreigners having arrived a few days before we were not invited.  Our host (the owners of the wonderful Church Hill Lodge - Most highly recommended) let us borrow their car to get to some hiking trails.  Near one beach we found the wedding party posing for photos and took this photo as well as a number of others.  The lodge owners, who gave their best cabin to the bride and groom for their wedding night, saw the photos on my camera and asked us to send them to them.  They printed the photos, and placed them about their room as a much appreciated additional wedding gift.
