Leica 250 Reporter.

Welcome!

Do you have a Reporter Camera? What number?

There was a case in the recent Tamarkin Auction. Sold for $400 plus commission.

There were also two at the Leitz Auction last Saturday one with an FF which sold for €10,800 and one with a GG which remained unsold. Both cases were in very good condition and seemed to be genuine. Leicashop Vienna don't have one in stock, but they may know where to get one.

I think OP just wants a case!

Thanks, Keith. I was just saying that the cases are around and the Leicashop in Vienna who are involved with the auction might know where another might be found.

That is a lovely camera. Leica did not have a special series of numbers for the Reporter, but dipped into ranges for the III. This is an FF model with 1/500th top speed and it is either from 1935 or 1936. The later GG Model with 1/1000th top speed was introduced in July 1936 with SN 150125, although Jim Lager has reported some earlier SNs with the higher top speed. Do you have the bulk film cassettes for the camera?

The official code for the case is ESFOO.
