Studio strobe set up with SL

Also, if you're using a studio flash with a tungsten modeling light, setting the SL to "flash" WB setting will adjust the look of the modeling light in the EVF to something approaching daylight while you're focusing (tungsten WB, in other words), but the WB goes to 5500K when you trip the shutter.

I use the SL2 now, but I just set 5500k so that the previews on the camera are consistent for quick review of a set. I am assuming that you are shooting DNG and then setting WB as you like in developing.

It depends how you are shooting and the ambient light of course. I have it on (for my key light only) for focus and it can  make visible catch lights/reflections which can be useful.

I set focus ( half press release) using the LCD and not the EVF. Then try to be watching and communicating with the model eyes out of camera. So that’s quite a change from using mirrored systems.
