OK! I'll go first. Here are two of my outtakes from shooting the 2020 Challenge. I suspect they will be seen as better than my actual submission, but that is the point of outtakes, isn't it? 😜

I encourage every participant to post theirs as well. It is a lot of fun seeing who can't edit their own shooting. 😁

Hi Erl,

This must be your dog?! My out-takes are conspicuous through the absence of any water...

I used an M3, HP 5+, and 50 DR.

Here is #2.  When I saw the opportunity I just knew it would be the one if for nothing else it's novelty.  The one I submitted just gave me a slightly warmer feeling.

I have one outtake, and one alternative.

This is the outtake. Basically, I stood in the same spot for nearly the whole two hours, waiting for the light to get as good as it could.

We had to drive for a couple of hours to get to Keswick to take these photographs.

Alternatively, I was going to walk for half an hour to get to the Anderton Boat Lift, which takes canal boats from the Trent and Mersey Canal at the top, to the Weaver Navigation below. It is one of the "wonders of the canal system".

This is on one of the regular walks with the dog and this one was taken the week before.

Special interest topic – this is the Peking, build in 1911 just a few hundred metres downstream.

It passed Cape Horn 34 times to bring salpetre from Chile, was sold to England to become a boarding school in 1934, and was sold again in 1974 to the New Yorker South Street Seaport Museum. In 2017, it crossed the Atlantic most likely the last time, was restored until 2020 and became a part of the harbour museum in September.

This is the Cosco Shipping Libra, 17273 TEU (which is the number of 20' containers it can store). 400 m long, 59 m wide (more than twice the width of the Titanic), draught 16 m.

Another museum ship – the Cap San Diego, already introduced by Dagmar and Carsten. I used the pre-aspherical 35mm Summilux and was expecting a bit more flare.

Hi Everyone

Here are some of my rejections, I chose 'Gleaming' instead (thanks Erl, Alex C, earleygallery, Dan Bachmann!) because it seemed to me to create a small mystery and story and because the one wheel was tentatively poised above the water reminding me of that famous moment behind the Gare Saint-Lazare...

Looks very like the way to the old pier at St Pauli - the dock down river a little way used to say Blohm and Voss in big white letters...

This is actually half a kilometer to the left (or port-sided, since we are heading towards the terminal).
