People in Memorial Day parade, Washington DC  (part 1)

I am not a big fan of parades; for me, they all look the same! But I like to go to the field - where they get ready - for a few portrait snaps. Then, when the parade starts, “Adios Amigos”! ;)

These are from May 29, in Washington DC; with Leica T and Nikkor 50 mm, f/1.4

I really like this series of portraits Louis.  Thank you for posting them!

I am glad to hear that, dear friend. Did you see how busy people are in the other site with really mediocre photography!?...  So sad!

Tony, I am viewing this shot on my iPhone and like it a lot. The IQ and the colors are really gorgeous. I was wondering which of your numerous lenses you used to have such clarity?

Hi Louis, it was the T 18-56. The camera was set to "vivid" setting, and then simple adjustments with Snapseed. These days I'm happy enough with jpeg/Snapseed processing. If I manage to take a "special" image I of course go to Lightroom/Raw for best results.Hope you are well. No doubt interested in what comes next with the Leica T2, ME too. Take it easy my friend. Tony.

Thanks for the information, dear Tony. Now that I am watching the shot on my PC calibrated screen, the skin tone is a little pinkish. But I guess this is because of the vivid setting!

I am fine dear friend and happy to start the summer. Me too, I just can't wait to see what TL2 is bringing us! ;) Best regards, Tony!

Battle of the 50s

Leica 50mm Summicron-R

Helios 44M-6 58mm f/2

Nikon 50mm f/1.4 AI

My first reaction, looking at these three, was the Helios won. But that is because the flower is taking up more of the image, I.e. is closer shot. So all three are quite good.

Robert, these flower shots are amazingly sharp with really beautiful colors!

I am surprised that Ulrich who has some association with Leica research, said in the other site that this lens is less sharp than a few others that he compared with!... I don't know about the others since I do not have any of them; but I really like what I see here!
