Dear Lothian,

What a portrait!!! You captured expression of the eyes so accurately... it seems we can see her soul in this photo. Congratulations!

Can you share with us, Leica afacionados, name of the lens you used for this photo?

Great!!!🙌

Light was spectacular this morning for my new M-10R and 21 mm. Tweaked this only slightly as there was very little to do to what came out of camera. Polarisor used at the time of course. I think this might be even better than my trustee Fuji XT2 could have managed.

It was taken at Wimpole Hall in Cambridgeshire. Whilst I do shoot the known tourist spots I strive for pictures like this where nobody would guess where it is.

Very happy again after yesterday’s thread on here unnerved me and I watched Theoria Apophasis slagging Leica’s on YouTube! We should all be lugging Fuji GFR’s around, don’t you know.

Best, David

Very nice - do you use the viewfinder and approximate, or do you use another viewfinder attachment? I was wondering if the extra resolution on the M10R gives you room to crop a little more than usual...

So I recently, and somewhat hesitantly, swapped my lovely Fuji X gear for a Leica M10 R. The Fuji gear was great and I'd had 4 happy and productive years with it.

I've not been sure I've done the right thing until about a week in when I took this picture .....

I don't know how well it will show up here but on the original the definition of the minor branches is exquisite and to my eye seems like something that the Fuji could not achieve (or any twenty something mega pixel camera)? This was taken on the 35 Summicron. I've since added a 50 Summilux and have a 21 F3.4 on order.

Should be a good Christmas after all. I feel like I've made a good choice 🙂

Best, David

Morning frosty walks with the new M10R - finding the new sensor giving me a similar "wow" feeling as when I got the m10m.

M10R, 28mm Summilux, F4, 1/1000, ISO100. Finished in Silver Efex (as always, click in to see the less compressed version).

Lucky you being close to such a nice scenery.

The second shot taken with the new camera - the first being a write off as I'd forgotten to take the lens cap off in my excitement! (I do know I need to clean the windows!)

As usual, click to see a less compressed version.
