How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2048 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Fil

What f-stop did you use for that pantry (your Flickr doesn't share the Exif)?  I'm wondering how well the M 50 Summilux that I already have would simulate the look of the expensive new 1960s M 50 Noctilux.  But in this example you seem to have stopped down some.

No, it looks pretty sharp to me.

Agreed, no lack if sharpness from the 50 Summilux, surprised if I had stopped down in that shot but you could be right, half a stop maybe.

It's the old reservoir in Lexington, MA -I don't know how thick the ice is, but the town regularly checks from what I understand and controls access. We had had 7 days below freezing at this point and 5 nights below 10F.

It's the first time I have gone in the winter, but I understand its popular when open for skating and hockey practice.
