wda Posted October 28, 2020 Share #1 Posted October 28, 2020 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) I am considering buying an independent webcam for participation in Zoom meetings. I would like colour control to set realistic white-balance in mixed or artificial lighting. Have members any advice based on recent purchases during Covid conditions? A quick search showed questions using current Leica digital cameras. I prefer a standalone solution. Popular names like Logitec are in short supply, while many other Asian models add confusion to choice. Any advice would be much appreciated. Advertisement Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 Hi wda, Take a look here Choice of webcams for non-business Zoom use. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
LocalHero1953 Posted October 28, 2020 Share #2 Posted October 28, 2020 I used my Sigma fp, partly because it has output both by USB-C/UWC direct to a laptop or other device (which few other common cameras have), and HDMI. It's small, and you don't need an EVF for a webcam (which it doesn't have). May not be as cheap as you're looking for, but it was handy for me, having both the body and lenses to hand - I used a Summilux-M 35 FLE via M-L adapter.
