Le Chef Posted October 13, 2020 Share #1 Posted October 13, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) For those of you of wear variofocals, do you look at the information display through the “reading” part of the lens at the bottom or the “distance” part at the top of the lens? I’m about to tackle this wacky world of optics and was just curious to know before my variofocals arrive. MTIA
Advertisement Posted October 13, 2020 Posted October 13, 2020 Hi Le Chef, Take a look here Variofocals and the EVF. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted October 13, 2020 Share #2 Posted October 13, 2020 I would guess that your eye will find the sweet spot automatically.
pop Posted October 13, 2020 Share #3 Posted October 13, 2020 You can adjust the EVF to the distance you are most comfortable with. I have set mine so that I look through the distance part. Otherwise, using the camera would become a pain in the neck.
LocalHero1953 Posted October 13, 2020 Share #4 Posted October 13, 2020 I don't know - it just happens!
tommonego@gmail.com Posted October 13, 2020 Share #5 Posted October 13, 2020 I'm with Paul, just happens, I did set the eyepiece a couple of times. Both my glassess have fairly large lenses which is probably helpfull. If you have smallish lenses I could see it being a problem.

lanetomlane Posted November 3, 2020 Share #8 Posted November 3, 2020 i've worn variofocals for well over 30 years and I don't honestly know the answer to your question. I just use the EVF and backscreen and never think about it, you'll be the same I'm sure. Variofocals are great except when you have to do something with your heads sideways, like looking under a car. https://photographybytomlane.com
