Paolou Pigini Posted November 23, 2020 Share #21 Posted November 23, 2020 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Yesterday I took the lenshood out of the box and it was in this condition: https://ibb.co/VgN9bgh Maybe arrived like this or maybe I broke it the day I bought it? That's a mistery since I pratically didn't use it. The rubber feels nice but I must admit that the build quality of it it's way worse than expected. Another big disappointment is the noise of the motor, the lens is loud, also when manual focusing... I'm instead really satisfied with the S1's IBIS also with the TC 2x, at least at non-macro reproduction ratio! thondup Posted April 10, 2021 Share #23 Posted April 10, 2021 Using my Sigma 105 macro with a Novoflex castel Q and slide attachment to copy my 35mm slides. The 1:1 ratio works really well and am in the process of digitalizing my slides with my SL2.
Sandokan Posted June 27, 2021 Share #24 Posted June 27, 2021 Has anyone compared this to the Leica R 100mm?

Do you have to mask the edges of the slides to stop stray light?
thondup Posted July 1, 2021 Share #26 Posted July 1, 2021 I use a lamp to back light the slides. No you do not need to mask the edges as it just covers the image of the slide.
