Cootamundra Wattle: so named as it was originally discovered around Cootamundra, NSW.

As it's actually a weed it has since spread all over the place, but we really like it, tomorrow is

Australia's National Wattle Day.

Thanks Dave, it's good to hear from you. In your lovely shot the wattle looks much bigger and fluffier than mine, that's a species I am not familiar with.

I hope all is well with you and Happy Wattle Day!

Dee.

Flinders Ranges Wattle (Acacia iteaphylla) I planted along our front fence about ten years ago...since pruned heavily to stop very heavy growth.  Please excuse rubbish bins ...this picture taken 3 years ago.  Today the blossom is past it for a good photograph.

Lovely honey smell through front garden.

Happy Wattle Day everyone...

;)

More Coota. wattle.

Every year about now I take this shot of the blossom with my favourite big old fence post and might have posted one

previously, so if it seems familiar....
