Looks like an ad from National Geographic - were Leica advertised in that mag? (I can't remember, I havn't read one for that long). IIRC they were mainly Canons, Nikons & Olympus

Wrong format - Nat. Geo. pages are narrower and "root-2 rectangle" proportions (~7" x 10"). Like ISO A-series paper proportions.

Great for Barnack-format pix though - 7x10 verticals and 10x14 2-page spreads (expanding to 5x7 and 14x20).

In fact, the Barnack proportion (1:1.5, or 2:3) fits very nicely between the root-2 rectangle (1:1.4142...) and the "golden" rectangle (1:1.618....) - and is itself a "dynamic rectangle."

I've seen and appreciated the very nice ads of M5, in the Zoom magazine, in 1970's, something bothered me (? didn't know why )

here in post #3 only 1/2 of the page show by Comte de Mazan

I see the complete double-page in LavidaLeica, right page to be complete

Hello Comte de Mazan, now you can see the images I linked to lavidaleica.

The lavidaleica site was down for a couple of days, when I checked some days ago.
