Raid Amin Posted July 31, 2020 Share #1 Posted July 31, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) I got an M10, and now I want to get a leather half case for the camera. Do you have suggestions on which type to get? I know that one option is to skip getting any camera case.

pedaes Posted July 31, 2020 Share #2 Posted July 31, 2020 Congrats on the M10 Raid! Only one choice for a half case
hteasley Posted July 31, 2020 Share #3 Posted July 31, 2020 No. Luigicases.com. Luigi is the best, and his cases and straps are fantastic. His website is ... undesigned, shall we say, but going through it is very worthwhile.

The way to order will be first, to look at all pictures and options and pick the ones you like. Send him an email and he's very quick to respond with a quote. They just send PayPal instructions.
rsolomon Posted August 1, 2020 Share #5 Posted August 1, 2020 I recommend Arte di Mano. IMO the best without question, sold in the US by Leica Miami. Quality and fit is better than excellent.
Rob L Posted August 1, 2020 Share #6 Posted August 1, 2020 The difference is in the fit. Night and day. Arte de Mano cases are thin and the fit is amazing. They become part of the camera and add very little bulk. The case is basically flush to the control buttons and viewing screen on the back. The Luigi and Angelo Pelle cases are designed to appear hand stitched, whether they are or not, I can't say. The leather is thick and the fit is a bit loosey goosey. Some people may like that?

I know they have a following here, and I have had Luigi cases. The fit is awful, but if thats what you like...

The fit is snug enough: with age, it gets looser at the top, but then, I like how easy it is to remove the camera for bottom access. I also like the clearly hand crafted look of them, and the quality of the leather.
budjames Posted August 5, 2020 Share #9 Posted August 5, 2020 I use the Leica half case. The LCD protector flap can be removed, if preferred. Shame to fatten up the slimmer film-M-like body IMO. Jeff
Raid Amin Posted August 5, 2020 Author Share #11 Posted August 5, 2020 Thanks to you all for your feedback here. I am still looking for an alternative to a Luigi half case, but I cannot find at the same price level something better.
SJH Posted August 6, 2020 Share #12 Posted August 6, 2020 Have just received another Luigi case for my M10R and it's a really great fit and I think the quality is really good for the price, he's very repsonsive to emails etc.

He is always responsive and, in my opinion, his cases are the best by far (YMMV).
yggdra.omega Posted August 6, 2020 Share #14 Posted August 6, 2020 I’m curious about the new Oberwerth half cases for the M10, I’m considering buying one.
Jürgen Posted August 6, 2020 Share #15 Posted August 6, 2020 Oberwerth are the best half cases
Raid Amin Posted August 9, 2020 Author Share #16 Posted August 9, 2020 Where can I see details on such half cases? (Oberwerth)
onasj Posted August 9, 2020 Share #17 Posted August 9, 2020 I have many Oberwerth bags and can vouch for their quality, but I had not tried the Oberwerth half cases yet. The Arte di Mano half cases (with battery door and small bump in the front) are pretty much perfect, in my opinion. 1

Slightly more costly or similar to a Luigi half case.
