Leica Colors

I still can't get over how the M240 pairing with 35/2 asph handled colors. I have not seen or used any camera that can effectively capture those subtle differences in color shade within the same color range.I largely shoot with colors in mind and I have not used any camera that give me this result - even GFX 50R couldn't do it.

Interesting to note that some people I shown the images to commented that the colors are not natural or oversaturated, and I've seen similar remarks about the M240 rendering too. Perhaps the DNG processing had come a long way.

I secretly hope that my M240 will last a lifetime...😆

That would be me also.

However, I'm not doing catalog shots, copying art, or shooting clothing.  For my personal photography I'm much more interested in pleasing color than accurate color.  Pleasing, in this case, means that I like it, not random viewers.  if it's good for you that's all it takes.

When ever I show them shots most of my non-photographical friends much prefer the saturated m240 colours compared to (often but not always) more neutral palette that my M9 gives me (personally for me it’s win some lose some between the two cameras!)

as GTBR wrote, pleasing colour is important, and if you’re pleased then that’s all that matters (unless someone’s paying you, then all that matters is if they’re pleased)
