SJH Posted July 24, 2020 Share #1 Posted July 24, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have both these lenses that I use on my SL2 in conjunction with my SL and M lenses, it appears that there are now firmware updates for these specific mirrored lenses on L mount https://www.sigma-global.com/en/download/lenses/firmware/a019_35_12/
Advertisement Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 Hi SJH, Take a look here Sigma DN 45mm and 35mm 1.2 firmware updates. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jrp Posted July 25, 2020 Share #2 Posted July 25, 2020 I didn’t see anything for the 45mm since January. Where should I be looking?
chris_tribble Posted August 9, 2020 Share #3 Posted August 9, 2020 https://www.sigma-global.com/en/download/lenses/firmware/c019_45_28/ It installed very easily on my SL2 following the on-screen instructions.
Guest Posted August 10, 2020 Share #4 Posted August 10, 2020 That's the 1.1 firmware from January.
chris_tribble Posted August 13, 2020 Share #5 Posted August 13, 2020 Ah! I’d not realised there was a FW 2.0. This I’ve not seen...
Ivar B Posted September 18, 2020 Share #6 Posted September 18, 2020 I updated the 1.2/35mm on my Panasonic S1R. No problems at all. This was a 1.1 Version (as the 2.8/45).
profus Posted September 18, 2020 Share #7 Posted September 18, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) No ver. 2.0 for the 1.2/35 L-mount yet? Any noticeable different in ver. 1.1 vs. 1.0 on SL? (I do not find info on Sigma's homepage to be very user friendly) Tnx/Alex
cboy Posted September 18, 2020 Share #8 Posted September 18, 2020 Thankyou SJH for the notification!

SJH Posted September 21, 2020 Author Share #10 Posted September 21, 2020 Yes that’s correct I believe Sigma are aware of the notifications SL2 users are getting so I expect they’’ll introduce further updates like this for their L mount lenses. I have just bought the 100-400 Sigma and so far so good IQ wise, however, the notifications once the battery reaches 25% (restricting functionality regarding FPS and 4K) are present with this lens so hopefully 1.1 firmware when it arrives will fix this! toobin Posted October 24, 2020 Share #11 Posted October 24, 2020 Only for info - now the firmware update to version 1.2 is really available. :-) "The lens has become compatible with focus ring adjustment functionality."
SJH Posted October 24, 2020 Author Share #12 Posted October 24, 2020 So it appears that Sigma have updated the 35 1.2 to deal with the power consumption issues as follows: 'It has optimized the communication of power consumption when used in combination with Leica CL and Leica SL cameras.' And yes I believe the 45 2.8 is now on 1.2 as per your comment above and 1.1 was around the same power consumption issue as the 35 1.2 release.

lanetomlane Posted October 28, 2020 Share #14 Posted October 28, 2020 I've just updated my 45mm f2.8 to version 1.2. I'm assuming this is the latest, is that correct? Thanks.

toobin Posted April 4, 2021 Share #16 Posted April 4, 2021 For the Sigma / 45mm / 2.8 there is a firmware update to version 1.3 available. Sigma: "It has improved focusing accuracy in single AF (AF-S)."
