Advertisement Posted July 21, 2020 Posted July 21, 2020 Hi LUF Admin, Take a look here Survey: Interested in the Leica M10-R?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
tom0511 Posted July 21, 2020 Share #2 Posted July 21, 2020 I am interested in the M10r, I like the silent shutter, the resolution would allow for some cropping sometimes , and more dynamic range is allways welcome. Already own an M10 though and selling the M10 for an M10r will probably be too much money for the added value for my personal needs.
caissa Posted July 21, 2020 Share #3 Posted July 21, 2020 If I need highest resolution, I will use the SL2. I am not sure I need 40 MP with my older M lenses (mainly from nineties).
johntobias Posted July 21, 2020 Share #4 Posted July 21, 2020 don't need 40MP colour when I have my Q2....considering a monochrome though !
philipus Posted July 21, 2020 Share #5 Posted July 21, 2020 I really like that Leica keeps developing and innovating but am entirely uninterested in this camera as I simply couldn't bear shooting digital. 4

winston Posted July 21, 2020 Share #7 Posted July 21, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am happy with the resolution of my m9 but if I wanted a slimmer body, higher iso and a silent shutter, I’d just opt for an m10p. For me, large files are just a burden as they unnecessarily fill storage space.
Kwesi Posted July 21, 2020 Share #8 Posted July 21, 2020 I am very interested in the M10-R sensor but because I have an M10-P I am content to wait for the same sensor when it arrives in an M11-P body ( along with the other improvements that will inevitably come along with the M11-P).
lct Posted July 21, 2020 Share #9 Posted July 21, 2020 With a fast EVF or Visoflex i could be tempted but hi rez in RF mode thanks no thanks.
WvE Posted July 21, 2020 Share #10 Posted July 21, 2020 I can't see why anyone would need this resolution in a M; I guess it mostly comes down to marketing. Nonetheless, I applaud Leica for the M10-R, they need to follow suit.
Gobert Posted July 21, 2020 Share #11 Posted July 21, 2020 Interested, but a little worried about the high(er) vignetting as mentioned in the German forum.
errebe Posted July 21, 2020 Share #12 Posted July 21, 2020 I am really happy with my Q2 so, considering I am not a millionaire, M10-R is not in the horizon. Furthermore, maybe monochrome would be more tempting. But, if I win the lotto, or if Leica is so kind to send me a complimentary M10-R to test and keep, I would be immensely happy. Best. jjk Posted July 21, 2020 Share #14 Posted July 21, 2020 I'm not interested. While the quality might be the best there is, the new products in the M system are more than I can afford. At this point in my life, I want image stabilization and autofocus for lenses longer than 35mm. 4
Ecar Posted July 21, 2020 Share #15 Posted July 21, 2020 As good as the sensor in the M10-R is, it's not enough of a step change for me to upgrade from the M10. I'll probably wait until the M11 is ready.
Beresford Posted July 21, 2020 Share #16 Posted July 21, 2020 I am glad that Leica develop new and improved versions of the M camera as I am sure that they will fulfil the needs of different photographers. For myself, my M-A and a handful of older film Leicas happily take the wonderful lenses sporting that little red dot.
Boojay Posted July 21, 2020 Share #17 Posted July 21, 2020 Too busy trying to stop myself buying an M10P - I'm such a shallow person, totally love the looks of the P, have SL2 for higher resolution, and an M10 that satisfies my M urges (for now). But honestly, is there anyone here that deep down doesn't want one. 2
Guest Nowhereman Posted July 21, 2020 Share #18 Posted July 21, 2020 I have no reason to upgrade from the M10, as my high-contrast B&W doesn't need 40MP and my color photography is not struggling for more resolution either. Online chatter is starting to trend towards saying that dynamic range, especially in the highlights, is "much better", but I'm skeptical that the difference is decisive. Basically, I think that 24MP is still the "sweet spot." Also, it seems to me that current rangefinder focusing could be an issue with 40MP — and I hate using the Visoflex EFV. _________________________Frog Leaping photobook

Have they made the ISO dial easier to pull up? Want an EVF version.
