Given the emails going out and other communications have the words "We unveil the latest member of the M10 family!", I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that they may be unveiling the latest member of the M10 family! I could be wrong... it might be the M241bis

M9M-D would be great!

Do you remember the teaser ads for the short-lived Guinness Light which went ' They said it couldn't be done' ? Well 'they' were right.

I'd never heard of that :)

Although I often enjoyed a pint of Guinness back in the days when I did drink alcohol, I don't think I could ever have faced such an offering. Guinness light sounds as awful as Cherry coke!!

When I was a kid (over 60 years ago), it was common for drugstore lunch counters or restaurants to offer to add a squirt of cherry syrup (also used on snow cones) to Cokes from fountain soda machines. It was a popular ‘thing’ long before Coca Cola formalized it. No surprise I haven’t had a cola drink of any kind since my teens.

We moved from the UK to Belgium because my dad worked at SHAPE. There was a big US influence on the base and it's there that I first heard of and tasted a coca cola float (coke with vanilla ice cream). I do have the occasional coke now but never with ice cream of any flavour!!! 🤮

In the US, a root beer float used to be a common dessert item on menus and carry out.  Never heard of a Coke float, although surely someone improvised occasionally.

As long as we’re jointly OT, I’m reminded of drinking ‘Egg Creams’, which contained neither eggs nor cream; rather, chocolate syrup, milk.and carbonated soda water... in that order.

I am ready for this. The resolution is most welcomed, just hoping extra dynamic range follows too.

And yes I know others don't care for this. I would.

M10's DR is already pretty good when compared to SL2 and Nikon Z 7 (>=ISO 100).

Ice cream float (with coke/cola) was always a summer treat for me as a kid, maybe it's a UK thing?

I haven't thought of or seen one for ages and now suddenly I'm craving it!! I only ever drink coke these days if it's mixed with spiced rum or bourbon. Now there's an idea.........

Well if they put out a teaser invitation like that, it had better be something special, not some sort of cosmetic vanity trip.

These days, I use a Nikon Z7 with my M and R glass. Compared to an M10, double the resolution and about a third of the price.

I did go back to my M8s and M9s last week to check for failing LCDs (M8 - none) and sensor corrosion (M9 - none) and I was shocked to be reminded of what we thought was state of the art 10-15 years ago...

I grew up on the US east coast, mid-Atlantic.  US cuisine is very regional, so I’m sure there are/were all kinds of concoctions I never heard of, including Coke floats.

Maybe next week the M10 3D will finally arrive! I recently stumbled across this when searching for a Leica camera via Google: 😏😁
