Theavidcollector Posted July 6, 2020 Share #1 Posted July 6, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello all, Just one more question for everybody. Are the green artefacts in the photograph below flare? Are they normal under certain conditions on a d-lux 2 in auto mode? I am wondering if its another fault connected with my screen problems i'm having with a recently purchased camera. Once again any help, much appreciated. Welcome, dear visitor! Ecar Posted July 6, 2020 Share #2 Posted July 6, 2020 No, it's not flare. Looks like weirdly overblown highlights. Certainly not normal. No idea as to what may cause this, I'm afraid.
Theavidcollector Posted July 6, 2020 Author Share #3 Posted July 6, 2020 Thank you very much Ecar, that’s what I thought, it certainly doesn’t seem normal to me. The person I bought the camera off is saying it’s normal for older Leica cameras, but I didn’t think it was myself, and just wanted another opinion. andybarton Posted July 6, 2020 Share #4 Posted July 6, 2020 Definitely not flare and definitely not normal. If you can, send the camera back for a refund.
jaapv Posted July 6, 2020 Share #5 Posted July 6, 2020 Actually it looks like an expiring sensor.
Theavidcollector Posted July 6, 2020 Author Share #6 Posted July 6, 2020 Thank you Andy and Jaapv, thats more or less what I thought. Thankfully the seller is open to a return so that's what I will do, and I'll try and pick up another Leica without any problems. Thanks again. Der Maibaum Posted July 7, 2020 Share #7 Posted July 7, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) I bought a Digilux 2 two weeks ago and testing it actually to get used to its technical possibilities and limitations. I found nothing at all similar to your photos. Hope everything gets well with your refund.
