jaapv Posted July 2, 2020 Share #2 Posted July 2, 2020 Hey man, it ain't that bad ... But you have a perspective problem with the horizon and the trees...
albert Posted July 3, 2020 Author Share #3 Posted July 3, 2020 The tree is good the far shore is good the near shore is off.
jaapv Posted July 3, 2020 Share #4 Posted July 3, 2020 I have struggled with this as well. If one straightens the horizon the trees are skewed. The horizontal perspective tool in PS is effective in many cases. Or just leave it, as it is a true representation of the way it was; it is just our brain that wants everything square.
Herr Barnack Posted July 3, 2020 Share #5 Posted July 3, 2020 Depending on how the shore line runs and how it is shaped, it can look skewed in the photograph, in spite of the camera being absolutely level. There are choices, though: As @jaapv stated, the horizontal perspective tool in Photoshop can be an effective solution. Or we can choose whichever is the least distracting between a skewed looking shore line or skewed looking trees. Or we can split the difference. 1
Guest BlackBarn Posted July 3, 2020 Share #6 Posted July 3, 2020 The lake (colours/light) looking like that.....it must have been wonderful experiencing that atmosphere. I find moments like these, photos can never capture what I’m sensing and seeing ....mind you it never stops me trying. Thanks for showing. Thank you.

jaapv Posted July 5, 2020 Share #9 Posted July 5, 2020 Hah! Horizontal perspective correction, straighten horizon and perspective warp on the left-hand tree Welcome, dear visitor! Jaskar Posted July 5, 2020 Share #10 Posted July 5, 2020 Strange. With the perspective corrected, the picture lost its appeal in my opinion. 🤔 Before, it was an intimate view through the bushes. Now it’s a photographic exercise. 1
jaapv Posted July 5, 2020 Share #11 Posted July 5, 2020 That is what I meant with "leave as is" The image is made through interpretation by our brain.

Don't worry, be happy. 🙂 Edited July 5, 2020 by Herr Barnack
