Your considerations all seem centered around 'gear', perhaps step back and decided on what you want to photography and start from there?

Max, welcome. You have analyzed you needs very well and in so doing have discovered they cannot be met from the current Leica stable. A pity! But what are your reasons for eliminating the CL syst

Such a camera  would be a hard sell for Leica, between the CL and the SL, with very little difference in image quality, there is little room to position  another camera with chance of commercial succe

Interesting discussion.  I"m coming as a Leica noob who started with a CL, a few lenses, and then a Q2.  I have no desire to use an M-camera but already have a 90mm M-f/2.5 for telephoto shots.  The CL is my compact camera for hikes and bike rides and the Q2 is for everything else.
