What I am trying to do is: On my Leica Digilux 2 I want to mount the camera on a bracket and mount a speedlight on the Bracket and the Controller on the Camera Hot shoe.

This way there is no wire involved Just the Command unit on the camera hot shoe and trigger the Flash that is mounted on the Bracket, Thank you

When I bought my D2 at launch, I frequently used it for workshop photography,  mostly using ambient light.  Sometimes I needed portable studio flash, mains powered, using a flashmeter to determine exposure,  I made them slaves to a simple Leica flash gun mounted on the hotshoe. I used flash to augment ambient light. It worked well. If you do not have a flash meter, trial and error should establish base settings.

At shows I've placed wireless flash triggers being used on the usual cameras (Nikon, Canon,Sony), set the aperture, shutter speed and ISO as directed) and shot just fine on my Q.  I don't know what flash triggers they were.
