Confined home, in Quitto (Ecuador) and trying my Leica Elmarit R 90mm mounted on my Fuji S5 Pro.

The sandalwood Owl sculpture is from the late mozambican artist Alberto Mabungulane Chissano (1935-1994).

Comments are welcome.

Regards.

François

I'd like to see it featured and not partly hidden.  Is that a copy of Mosquito Coast?  Good book, so-so cinema.

Thank you Stuart, I will post a complete photo of the sculpture. Regarding the Paul Théroux's book, this one is "The Great Railway Bazaar" - by train Through Asia..

Very nice, and nicely photographed.  I like having the busts blurred in the background

Stuart,

As requested I send you the following pictures : 1) Soap stone bought in Johannesburg in Dec 1987; 2) Woman's bust, bought in Kinshasa (RDC); 3) Holy Mary bought in 1978 in Kananga (West Kasaï - RDC).

Holla FrancoisF,

Actually gelatino is for gelatino- bromure d'argent french translation of gelatin silver bromide.

Allright.

"Gelatino" in italian is little ice cream.

So, you're not italian. Canadian or, maybe, French. I am French myself.
