although being a happy Q2 user, I do like to play with other cameras....I esp like the minox sub-miniature ones and ask the forum...does anyone know where I can get a film slitter to cut 35mm film down to minox size...these were popular a while back but even ebay is lacking such a thing...keen to use ilford monochrome emulsions in my Minox C

long shot but I'm sure someone on here likes minox stuff too, even if it is just because of the leica and wetzlar connection!

I bought a splitter like this that creates 2 Minox strips off a 35mm film:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Film-slitter-to-cut-any-roll-film-current-or-vintage-size-to-any-smaller-size/164243778245

I'm creating a reel-to-reel base to crank the film through in a changing bag. In the meantime I use Blue Moon Minox film, which is good.

I also have a splitter that cuts 220 film on the spool to one section for 127 and the remainder for 16mm, as I have a few 16mm submini cameras also.

There was a 35mm Minox, the "35 ML", and I used it many years ago, when Leica had nothing to offer of the size of today's V-Lux 20. And it is still in a drawer, after delivering some hundreds of very satifactory results.

The minox 35 range were superb tiny full-frame cameras...Besides my Q2 and Minox collection, I'm currently trying to find a reasonably priced hasselblad 500 for some big format monochrome work...Q2 is my first love though!

here are my 2x c's and my LX

If anybody using a Minox needs a slitter, I think I have one together with some of the cassettes. Also a camera which I no longer use. I liked the Minox very much and was amazed by the results from so tiny a film, but arthritis made it a bit too fiddly for me. Bob Gerard, the racing driver, was the importer of them to the UK, I believe. Somewhere I have a Minox photo of a Frazer Nash which had been driven by him. It seemed an appropriate camera to use on that occasion. PM me if interested in the slitter, etcetera.
