Mikep996 Posted June 10, 2020 Share #1 Posted June 10, 2020 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) There are references in the lens detection list to Leica item numbers. I have seen posts that say "item numbers" are on the lens barrel opposite the infinity index but none of my Leica lenses have numbers on the barrel anywhere that I can see. I recall that back when I had Leica gear previously, at least one of my lenses (maybe all?) had an engraved number filled with white paint on the barrel which I now assume was an "Item Number." SO...where is the "Item Number" on, for example, a late 90's 50 Summicron and a late 90's 90 El M? Edited June 10, 2020 by Mikep996

Mikep996 Posted June 10, 2020 Author Share #3 Posted June 10, 2020 AH! that Wiki link is just what I needed! I did a search on line using "Leica Item numbers" but that link didn't show up. Thanks for posting it!
