ChicagoMatthew Posted May 25, 2020 Share #1 Posted May 25, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Saw this today. Is this the first sign that an M11 is on the horizon? If so, the turnaround is faster than I thought. https://leicarumors.com/2020/05/20/leica-m10-silver-camera-listed-as-discontinued-at-bh.aspx/
Advertisement Posted May 25, 2020 Posted May 25, 2020 Hi ChicagoMatthew, Take a look here M10 Silver Discontinued?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Robert Blanko Posted May 25, 2020 Share #2 Posted May 25, 2020 That’s strange, as now even in Leica‘s own German online store the silver version of the M10 is not visible anymore. The black version is visible but currently not available, however you may register your e-Mail to receive a notification once available again. 250swb Posted May 25, 2020 Share #3 Posted May 25, 2020 And you think that with all the components already manufactured for the M10 and not able to be assembled because of the pandemic Leica will just junk them all for a new camera during a market downturn? Does anybody ever think these conspiracy theories through?
Robert Blanko Posted May 25, 2020 Share #4 Posted May 25, 2020 IMHO, it does not seem plausible to discontinue only the silver version of the M10 in favor of an M11. Rather, maybe Leica switches to black M‘s in general or it’s just an error in their logistics / website programming. 😏.

jaapv Posted May 26, 2020 Share #6 Posted May 26, 2020 Much more likely that there is a hiccup in the bright chrome plating process. (pure speculation, though)
WvE Posted May 26, 2020 Share #7 Posted May 26, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) I noticed substantial discounts on the M10-P Silver and M10-D. Perhaps a combination of inevitable sloppy sales and a the dawn of a new M?
a.noctilux Posted May 26, 2020 Share #8 Posted May 26, 2020 (edited) M10-R coming ? Maybe it's pricing about the same as M10 or M10-P ? Edited May 26, 2020 by a.noctilux
maxfairclough Posted May 26, 2020 Share #9 Posted May 26, 2020 (edited) I was told through a source production of the Silver M10 has discontinued. Black still available. Edited May 26, 2020 by maxfairclough

Perhaps with sluggish sales of the silver M10, they are preserving the mechanicals they share in common. I would imagine the supply chain for their components has been severely disrupted by the Corona virus plague. 5 hours ago, jaapv said: Much more likely that there is a hiccup in the bright chrome plating process. onasj Posted May 26, 2020 Share #11 Posted May 26, 2020 (edited) I’m told they are using the bodies that would normally be slated to become silver M10 cameras to manufacture the M10R instead, which will come sooner than most people think. I was surprised to hear this, but I trust the source. Edited May 26, 2020 by onasj
