stray cat Posted May 23, 2020 Share #2 Posted May 23, 2020 That’s a fine looking kitty! Is it your first film camera?
mikozia Posted May 23, 2020 Author Share #3 Posted May 23, 2020 Thank you stray cat. My first film Leica was a really beaten up M3 I bought from an elderly photographer who told me he was losing his eyesight. The shutter broke before I really got to use it. Fortunately I am still using the Summicron-M 50 DR that came with it. My second film M was a chrome Leitz M6. Lost it to the tsunami in 2011 Fukushima earthquake along with the log house we planned to move into. Haven't used my MP yet, it's hard to find a lab locally to develop the film since Costco closed down their film processing service. Maybe one these days...
stray cat Posted May 23, 2020 Share #4 Posted May 23, 2020 I hope you do find somewhere locally to process the film. Otherwise it’s quite a pleasant process on its own to process it at home - color or black and white. I’m so very sorry to hear about the loss of your house in the tsunami. I guess it could have been a lot worse if you’d already moved in. It stands as an unimaginable tragedy. Perhaps we’ll see see some of your photos In the I Like Film thread someday. I hope so. 1

pgk Posted May 24, 2020 Share #6 Posted May 24, 2020 Very nice. Isn't the Summilux a lovely match? They could have been made for each other😋.
