Many people change the button to the right of the v/f as the focus button, once you release it the focus stays put.

Can you please provide some details with what you wrote. I am not sure what it means “right of the v/f” as the focus button.

My original post was before I received the Q2 and as a result of reading reviews.  Now I have the camera I am delighted to say it is everything I wished for...

...  better to use both, my Q2 for just in time pictures or my S3 in case of taking big boys.
