Schittra Posted May 11, 2020 Share #1 Posted May 11, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) I did self-portrait from my Leica SL and remote control from my iPhone. It was fun and better control than self-timer. I set camera to "M" for manual mode. I could control the exposure easier than "A" mode. I shoot with M lens. Then what I have left to control is "shutter-speed". I found out that, once I tried to adjust shutter-speed, the camera change to "P" (program mode) automatically. Is this normal and what the reason behind? Thank you very much.

scott kirkpatrick Posted May 11, 2020 Share #3 Posted May 11, 2020 (edited) If you are using Fotos, it starts out in P mode. So to fix that, connect, check the aim and composition, then set the aperture that you want (and ISO if you want to control it) using the Remote part of the app. This will put you in A mode. You can get M mode if you also set the shutter speed using the remote part of the app. Fotos is pretty crude, but it handles this job well.
