Advertisement Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 Hi shirubadanieru, Take a look here Elmar 50mm f3.5 ltm filter?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Pyrogallol Posted May 5, 2020 Share #2 Posted May 5, 2020 The early small screw in filters are not that common. The usual ones to use are the clamp-on type in A36 size, but they are bigger overall. From your picture it looks like the lens has not been extended, if it is a 50mm lens? Or is it a 35mm Elmar? Welcome, dear visitor! The problem with those filters is that we can’t change the aperture that’s why I was looking for 19mm that screw into the lens.
bayernfan Posted May 5, 2020 Share #4 Posted May 5, 2020 i think heliopan makes them or used to make them. i ordered a 27mm contrast filter from their website a week ago, still hasn’t shipped, but it is a special order item.

Thank you! ... I got two 19mm filters made by Kenko, but they are also thicker than slim original Leitz 19mm filters. Every 19mm filter makes it somewhat more difficult to adjust the aperture of the Elmar - but without a protecting filter, fingerprints easily get onto the front lens. Welcome, dear visitor! Jul Posted May 5, 2020 Share #7 Posted May 5, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) I also use the heliopan 19mm filter on an Elmar (3,5cm but same filter diameter). The thickness could be considered as a bonus. Wiithout the hood, (I don't have one yet) the rim protects (just a little…) more from stray light than a slim filter would.
