stuny Posted May 1, 2020 Share #8 Posted May 1, 2020 Lovely. Our favorite accommodation of the entire trip was at Ryokan: Asadaya, where the two young women who too care of us were so superb we wanted to take them home.
newnew Posted May 1, 2020 Author Share #9 Posted May 1, 2020 You probably should have. We had a very pleasant experience with all people there. This total city is a secret well guarded. Given the current situation I do not know if we will have any opportunity to return one day.
stephan54 Posted May 1, 2020 Share #10 Posted May 1, 2020 Seems a Leica hangout. We, too, were there last year. Enjoyed your photos.

Louis Posted May 1, 2020 Share #12 Posted May 1, 2020 A very, very, enjoyable set, my friend.
Louis Posted May 3, 2020 Share #13 Posted May 3, 2020 (edited) Ali, I keep coming back to this wonderful set. It reminds me so much of a village we used to visit when I was in a training camp at Kodokan Judo. But it was long time ago!.... A wonderful country with great people (in general) and an admirable couture that I really loved. I have to return and see more of this superb place that I did not have time to see enough during my stay. Edited May 3, 2020 by Louis
newnew Posted May 3, 2020 Author Share #14 Posted May 3, 2020 (edited) Louis , I agree with all you said. For me it would be a dream to be there in winter time with snow and just the Summilux 75 in the quiet gardens and streets. One more from Kanazawa. Welcome, dear visitor! AndreasG Posted May 3, 2020 Share #15 Posted May 3, 2020 Really a beautiful set of photos! Memories come back - it was the greatest gift in my life that I could live and work in Japan for 29 years.
newnew Posted May 4, 2020 Author Share #16 Posted May 4, 2020 Thank you AndreasG. I am really happy if my pictures could give you a sense of the the Japan you have known for such a longtime. I had put an album in B&W in this forum's Gallery section about my impressions on Japan. You may also find it interesting. mikozia Posted May 5, 2020 Share #19 Posted May 5, 2020 Would like to see some more of your beautiful images of Japan. I haven't been back to Japan since the last earthquake/tsunami destroyed our log cabin by the sea in Fukushima, 2011.
