I have also been considering a 21mm but am worried about framing since it requires an attachment on top of the camera, which would introduce even more parallax than the usual rangefinder. Can anyone put my mind at ease?

You would have to deal mostly only with vertical one, horizontal is going to be less since it is above  the lens axix. It is not as critical as with 50mm lens, it seems.

I don't own 21mm Leica made or Viogtlander, Zeiss modern ones. They might have correction sub frame for closer distances.

My Russar's VF has distance adjustment to correct vertical parallax.

Here is no ISO 6400 in M9 and M-E 220 which is M9 sub-model. Clear?

Yes. Clear. But you have a snotty attitude and give new meaning to English as a second language. You should work on that.

Your own attitude ain't the bed of roses as well. So, you are getting just adequate response. Sorry, it isn't as English as you prefer to be treated. But look at the mirror first.

Yes, Yashica ML 21mm f/3.5, C/Y Mount [Contax/Yashica].  There are adapters for both m-mount and z-mount, and I suspect others too.

Thanks but I only have an M9 at the moment :) Might upgrade eventually but tbh I am still mulling whether or not rangefinders are for me.

Leica M can be used without rangefinder, (of course also M9 )

mainly with wide angle lenses.

I happily used for decades the "film Leica" without viewfinder/rangefinder like MDa, here with Super-Angulon 4/21mm and add-on 21mm finder

😉

very compact, pleasing and light combo

kind of P&S Leica with of course a bit of practice to make the best out of the combo
