Advertisement Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 Hi bonjac, Take a look here Refinishing/Repaint. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
AndreasG Posted April 13, 2020 Share #2 Posted April 13, 2020 I only know Kanto Camera in Japan, see here, but probably there are further repair shops offering such service in Europe or the USA: http://www.kantocamera.com/english/aboutrepair.html
Gelatino Posted April 13, 2020 Share #3 Posted April 13, 2020 Telling us where you live may help...not to adress you to NZ if you are in Norway.

250swb Posted April 13, 2020 Share #5 Posted April 13, 2020 The bottom line is you need somebody who removes all the chrome and nickel before painting it, together with the necessary dials and buttons etc., then it's down to whether you like their work and recommendations. If you are wanting a black paint body repainted consider the economic hit you will take.
Exodies Posted April 14, 2020 Share #6 Posted April 14, 2020 Apparently it’s the sort of thing you can do yourself

bonjac Posted April 16, 2020 Author Share #12 Posted April 16, 2020 Thanks to all who responded to my question. I checked one of the sights suggested and the cost was more than I want to spend.

If done well, there is a LOT of work involved with repainting a camera body, so it can't be cheap if someone wants to make a living out of it. TomB_tx Posted April 16, 2020 Share #14 Posted April 16, 2020 On Youxin Ye's site under New Services he shows examples of cameras that included repainting by Stuart Vu. You might check with Youxin for information.
