Hello all,

I have several R lenses that I want to use with my M10-P/Visoflex 020 setup.  None of the R lenses I am likely to use is listed in the "M Selector R" menu.  They are:

135 Elmarit-R

400 Telyt-R

70-270 Vario-Elmar (Jesse Owens edition)

So, can Leica be expected at some point to include these in a future firmware update?  How would I request of Leica?  And, does it matter?

Cheers,

Brian

I don't think Leica will do very much about this. In my opinion they should make it possible to define your own uncoded lenses and a quick menu to select between these. This would only affect EXIF lens data, which is otherwise a bit complex to change in post. But I don't think they will do this. Maybe it's because they want to discourage people from using uncoded lenses, presumably not Leica-manufactured ones.

Fortunately, I don't think lens information has very much, if any, effect on image output for longer focal lengths.

No, it doesn't matter. The only thing you will be missing is the lens information in EXIF.
