W-NIKKOR Nikon 3.5cm (35mm) f/1.8 on a M10?

As Shiru mentions, yes the LTM version works fine with LTM adapter.

The Nikon S mount version cannot be used with Amedeo or other adapters because the back of the lens gets in the way of the rangefinder mechanism. The Nikkor 3.5cm f2.5 can however be used with an Amedeo adapter. Plenty more information here:-

The f1.8 is the most desirable (and expensive) of the 35mm lenses for the Nikon rangefinder cameras. I would like one. I have three of the f3.5 version and now an f2.5 as well.

But as said that Nikon S version is not suitable for the Leica.

Hi,

a follow-up question: is it safe to mount the lens via Nikon s-> Leica M adapter?

I understand it blocks somehow the rangefinder mechanism, however I plan to use it with the Visio EVF

Thanks

The rear part of the lens protrudes so much it might get in the way of the shutter mechanism of a M camera .

I would not try it .

A few  1.8 W-Nikkor S mount  lenses have been adapted to LTM /M mount but it is not a reversible process . There is a thread about these lenses on the Rangefinder Forum.

Best, Jean-Marc

Thanks I gently tried to mount the lens today, and indeed it simply can't feet in.

Will use it then exclusively on my Nikon Z

Here is one of my first pictures taken with this lens:

Thanks.

A couple of the 2005 reissue 35 W-Nikkor 1.8 S Nikon S mount lenses were converted to LTM by Miyazaki .

Here are the original and Miyazaki converted   LTM versions (iphone shot):

Hi JMF,

Have you got the reversible adapter from Korea and tested it?

I found the compatible chart from Amedeo Adapter Japan, FYR.
