20x30 - centimeters or inches?

Same subject - clouds in the sky; a face; a cityscape; a snowy landscape; a dark room, hand-held? ;)

Same lens - APO-Summicron, or Thambar? ;)

Same post-production - or same best-possible post-production? I can run an identical gaussian blur on all three images and guarantee there won't be any appreciable difference. ;)

20x30 cms would be far below the threshold where any resolution difference would be noticeable, in any case.

20x30 inches (~51 x 76 cms) would be around the threshold where the difference between 24Mp (200 ppi output) and 41Mp (262 ppi output), and de-mosaiced Bayer-color (M10) vs. Monochrom (M246) might just start to show at a "normal" viewing distance (91 cm) - assuming best-possible sharpening routine for all the images. (However, best-possible sharpening is by definition not going to be the same for 24Mp and 41 Mp - it will be ppi-dependent).

Tonal reproduction would again depend on subject and brightness range. I can think of many subjects or situations where having some color data (plain M10) to convert from would produce tones a Monochrom couldn't balance without its own color filtering (mounted on the lens).
