A citrus themed portrait

Recommended Posts

Thomas, a gorgeous portrait of someone who seems used to a camera. I guess this is what means ”seducing a camera”!

Thanks Louis. I really enjoyed our brief encounter, and thought the ruby red rose was a nice contrast, too.

Delightful, and also instructive to all of us who are shy about asking strangers to pose.  Whenever you see somebody you'd like to photograph who clearly wants to be seen, make your approach, starting with a compliment.

Compliments often work, yes. Flowers do, too (no, I didn't put that rose in her hands, before you ask 🙂 )

Stay safe. My son lives in NYC, I'm a tad worried I must say.

Thomas, I wish the very best for your son. As Stuny said, I hope he is respecting the social distancing and every recommendation from the excellent NY governor.

A few weeks ago, when this problem was becoming more serious in NY, my daughter was asked to work from home. But as she couldn’t find anything and the ticket to Miami dropped, I asked her to fly to Florida and work from here. So, she left NY. But here in Florida, people don’t seem to take anything very seriously, as always.... i really  don’t know where we are heading to...

Thank you. I have no complaints about the output of the S006 in good light.

Thank you Louis. It is hard to tell where things are headed, but we are probably talking long-term adjustments and impact by now.
Anyway, I am glad your daughter is down in FL with you, a more easy-going (and hopefully safer) environment than further up the coast.

On a related note, ALL the festivals, block parties, parades and events that SF and the East Bay are noted for, have all been cancelled, so I won't have a chance to engage with folk like the young lady in the picture above right now. Well well...

Thomas -

As long as you son is assiduous about social distancing, hand washing, etc. he should be fine.

Thanks Stuart, I believe he is pretty conscientious about the protocols in place.
