I don't think the topic itself was too difficult - I purposely chose one which is not too narrow to encourage participation. But maybe the timing was simply off - new digital cameras announced during this time maybe distracted and then last but not least all the virus stuff.  Hope it will get better participation next time!

Sorry, but I see it completely differently.
In my opinion, the topic of "blurring" was unsuitable for our old screw lens Leicas, because we would rather use its old lenses to prove how sharply they can still work by today's standards.
That is why my contribution "Blur almost anywhere - without my glasses" was to be understood completely ironically.
Luckily, at the last moment, by awarding my points, it was easy to avoid having to host the next competition.
Perhaps a general survey should be carried out first for topics of common interests, so that there is less danger that even fewer will participate.
Sorry, but I think with only four contributions we are shortly before the funeral of this competition.

I am not so pessimistic. I wanted to take part, but due to unfortunate coincidents - unrelated to the present crisis - I could not. At the moment times are not very favorable for things like using screw mount cameras, though this will change in some months.

It is true that the challenge needs more advertising. This can be done by the person who is in charge for it at the moment, by other regular participants and also by the Forum itself as was proposed by Thomas. For the next turn I'll try to motivate more people to take part.

Photography with screw mount Leicas is not important, it is just fun. I am sure, we'll succeed to keep the little tradition alive.

BTW: Congratulations to muellerman779 and also to mnutzer - whose contribution I liked for its irony.

I did not submit an entry this time because we are being forced to move house. The building we have lived in for 47 years is being demolished. I took some pictures of downtown Philadelphia from a moving train. By panning with the 50/2.8 Elmar on my IIIg I hoped to see a blurred foreground against a sharper background. I still have not developed the film. I hope to have my developing and scanning setup back in operation in time for the next challenge.

Thank you Martin for the organization and thank you all for your choice. I'm  happy about it - despite everything! What do you think about the future of this competition? Should we actually start again in the usual rhythm - i.e. in the second half of the year - or take a break? Or choose another format? What other thoughts are there?

Well.......take a peek at the other camera challenges here and even in this moribund state the Barnack challenge is by Far the most active!     There’s no clear answer here,  but there IS a need to demonstrate these older cameras are regularly used among forum members.  I do feel there should be on this forum a slot devoted solely to posting Ltm images, and not as a competition, just for fun.

PM sent to mnutzer to start the next challenge - let's hope we hear back from him.

Thanks for the honor.
As written in my post #5, it might be understandable why at the moment I neither want to participate in this competition nor deal with the organization.
Some of my few photos taken with an M39 Leica are presented and discussed here on the LUF at the heading "I like film...(open thread)".
All who are still steadfast I wish the best of luck and an unexpected upswing in the number of participants so that it could become again a noteworthy competition in which one would like to take part again.
