Hi,

I just acquired a M5. I am awaiting its delivery. I'll need to buy a battery adaptor. I understand a gentleman by the name of Frans De Gruijter Zuidkade makes one. I sent an email to him at: battery.adapter@online.nl. I have not received a response. Does anyone know if he is still in business or did I get his address wrong?

Important is, that the adapter reduces the voltage from 1.55 to 1.35 with a built-in diode, because many adapters are sold without this functionality. Furthermore, use the adapter with Silver oxide batteries like SR43.

I've used the MR-9 adapters with good results, but have had a couple fail such that the meter won't track in brighter light. So do a battery check (M5 frame selector to FAR left) before trusting for important work.
