Chaemono Posted March 20, 2020 Share #1 Posted March 20, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) I‘m not sure if we should start a separate thread on availability in general given that there is the “Any Leica Dealer who has an S3 in stock?” thread, but availability at Leica’s online store is not covered by it strictly speaking. If the mods think that this thread is redundant, they should delete it or merge the two.
Advertisement Posted March 20, 2020 Posted March 20, 2020 Hi Chaemono, Take a look here Availability. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
frame-it Posted March 20, 2020 Share #2 Posted March 20, 2020 i wonder why there are no video reviews yet
Chaemono Posted March 20, 2020 Author Share #3 Posted March 20, 2020 Given that Covid-19 is a serious issue, it’s inappropriate to joke about it. Otherwise some morbid humor would come to mind why there aren’t any video reviews yet.

LeicaR10 Posted April 29, 2020 Share #8 Posted April 29, 2020 Frame-it, There was a hour long webinar sponsored by Camera West on April 21st with the Leica Rep Ray Olsen. I watched it and it was informative. You might contact Camera West and see if they recorded the session. Normally, Sean the owner (He owns Leica Store SFO and 2 other Camera West stores) has Ben, his tech guru moderates and records the webinars. The session helped me with the decision to upgrade to the S3 for my business. The camera for me, is worth it and pays it way. Last, Albireo-Double is correct the Leica factory is closed through end of May due to a double whammy; a mixture of current crisis and public holidays during the month of May. Most Leica Stores and Boutiques have a S3 waiting list and I am certain Sean will fix you up if you call or email him. r/ Mark Except from Camera West website, "Events". BTW, I believe Setuporg in this forum also watched the webinar as well....but I could be wrong. Tuesday: 4/21 | "Intro to the Leica S3" with Ray Olson Join Leica Professional Product Specialist, Ray Olson as he introduces and talks through the newest development in Medium Format, the Leica S3. We are excited as we see the Leica S3 begin to ship, and this is an excellent way to get all your questions answered concerning the Leica S3. The end of the webinar will include a time of Q&A with Ray.
rickgrainger Posted April 29, 2020 Share #9 Posted April 29, 2020 The Webinar appears to have just been uploaded to YouTube. 1
davidmknoble Posted April 29, 2020 Share #10 Posted April 29, 2020 My understanding is not only is Weztlar closed, but the supply chain is effectively interrupted as well. That said, the S3's that were produced are sold to waiting lists and in the hands of those folks. My guess (only a guess) is that many may have been pros using it and they are not typically the ones that produce reviews and video blogs... @Chaemono, probably one of the best things we can do is have someone post when they see stock is truly available somewhere, which I suspect may be two or more months... Again, just a guess.
