jolsen Posted March 8, 2020 Share #1 Posted March 8, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have made a Lightroom preset to convert scanned KODAK 400UC negatives to positives. Feel free to use it. I scan my negatives as negatives, and apply the preset when I import into Lightroom. It gives me the best and most consistent results of anything I have tried. I scanned a KODAK Q13 grey scale on negative film and positive film, and made the preset by adjusting the curve so the 2 photos are similar. There is a catch though. The preset is based on the exposure of my negative when I scanned it. If your exposure is different, you may get very different results. mariah Posted March 15, 2020 Share #2 Posted March 15, 2020 Thanks a lot for this share. You know what?, adjusting a black and white picture is such a pain. There are no such settings to do it with one click and adjusting never gave me a good result. Your adjustment is like amazing. Thank you for sharing this. jolsen Posted March 15, 2020 Author Share #3 Posted March 15, 2020 You are most welcome. This has bothered me for many years. I was shooting negative film for many years, and I was never able to get good colors. I eventually gave up in 2006 and switched to slides. Now I’m scanning all my negatives up until 2006. Lots of good old memories.
