I like M10 very much. I am not comfortable to change the lens while traveling, eg, dust, location, etc. Then I think about getting second M10. I was thinking to get M9 before. Considering my preference, I would go for M10. It can be back up too

Are there anyone here using 2 M10 Bodies?  Hope I am not that crazy. Thanks

Thank you. I use to have M240 before. It's not a bad camera but I feel it's too big. I personally don't like the color rendering from M240. I like M9 or Q even more. I like color rendering of M10 though. Not more than M9 but they are different. I almost get M9 at 1/3 price of used M10. The camera with sensor more than 10 years old made me worried. For the second body, I might go for M10-P to have the different.

If you carry a second body as a backup I would get an M9 as it offers great value for money, but if you plan to use both cameras side-by-side, it is far better to have two of the same - you don't waste  effort by switching between user interfaces, batteries and SD cards are interchangeable, you don't have to spend time and effort on the computer trying to match the output, etc.

My local shop has mint grey M9 for $2,500 and mint-in-box M10 for $4,800. I am tempting for the M10 though. Agree for flexibility of battery, interchangeable SD, matching photo, consistency of images, user-interface, etc.

Or wait for 10R...

Thanks! That's my first thought. Considering Leica Timeline plus COVID-19 impact on supply chain, I think it would come out by mid 2022 at earliest. Besides, I couldn't afford when it launched anyway. It would be around $8-9,000 or even $10,000 (comparing to M10's price now). I might need to wait for another 6-9 months to have 2nd hand at $7,000. Very tempting for M10 now.

M10 sh at $4,800 is a very good price for mint M10.

If you wait more, maybe you could find even cheaper, as M10 prices always drop .

Yeah... considering covid19, hong kong market is quiet.

You are not crazy, but if you are, you are not the only one :) I’m the proud owner of a M10p and a M10m. Both a M10, but maybe not where you adding for. One color and one monochrome is not really interchangable. But for me it is a perfect combi.

Aaahh this is why and probably the main reason why i finally got the m10’s

cos mostly i used them side by side or at least one with a 50 and the other is wider

The M10-R will be released this year, I'm told by people with knowledge of the matter.  And I would think that Leica would be much less vulnerable to COVID-19 supply chain effects than most consumer photography or electronics companies given the small production quantities, hand-made constructions, and lack of reliance on commonly used suppliers in asia for key components.
