Nice shot Jaapv, something different and not everyday you would be presented with that to shoot.  It's a hard task to come up with a favourite.   I've had the CL almost since launch and still have around 20,000 images on HD's.  Nearly went with family/emotion, nature/wildlife but in the end chose the very first shot I took on my first visit to Venice, with the 18-56, I had literally just dropped off my case at the hotel and headed out, in true tourist mode, and since it's a destination I could never have enough of, definitely left my heart there, it seems like the right choice for this.  Be so interesting to see what others feel their best shot is so great idea for a thread.

Beautiful shot! Isn't it wonderful when a destination really lives up to the hype.

Thank you and yes it is. Venice far exceeded my expectations, not sure it will be easy for me to get back there anytime soon with the Coronavirus but I enjoyed my second visit every bit as much as my first and can’t wait to go again.

Funny how I don't remember you having the CL at the time. Glad you are home, hope you are well, congrats on the wedding, heard from Adam.

Great idea for a thread, Jaapv!

TL23 - taken last year on honeymoon in Turkey.  This was the last boat trip of the day so luckily just the two of us with this lovely local fisherman.  His face says it all

Stonkin shot!  Great face, wonderful environmental portrait James. Just wondering though if you thought/tried to level the horizon, I know it doesn't always add to the shot, and maybe you were also trying to show the movement of the boat so ignore me - whatever, subject, colour, light,  great.

Good point, not sure why I didn't address that... but thank you Boojay (I see you have moved to a SL or SL2, you still using a CL?)

Very definitely still using the CL,  had the SL2 for a while now,  whether I will keep it or not is under review.  As LCT says above, it is probably a matter of taste with regard to your straight horizon.  I get constantly nagged at by my other half because apparently I don't do straight - he insists I have wonky eyes, even placing furniture, books, I put everything at an angle, he walks around after me moving things, I sometimes wonder how we have lasted 42 years😁.
