I bought the standard black Leather handgrip and had it made in the olive green colour by the Leica Store Amsterdam.

Hey Erik this is really interesting, I've known that Leica is very accomodating with personalisation in many cases i was wondering, how long did it take for them to do it? and i know that you shouldn't ask but was it expensive? (I ask because when i asked if it would be possible to re-colour my M10-P safari in case it scratches, their response was, all is possible but it will cost you an arm and a leg)

Wow!

This looks so cool!
Did they exchange the leather material from the grip to a custom one? Or is it the same piece of fake-leather the M10 Safari has? (I don't know if the Safari has real leather or the same substitute the normal M10 has).
I always wondered if they would also customize the handgrip, now that leather changing options are available again in the new semi-"a la carte" program.

But you wrote you bought a black grip? So they stripped the black grip from it's paint and re-colored it silver? That's interesting...
I once asked if they can re-colour my M10-P, same as ERA23 did, and they said it's not possible...

This was done at a company that is doing all the repair work for Leica in the netherlands, they told me, so not at Leica Germany. Very cheap, € 75,00. It took 2 weeks before it was back.

I ment that i bought the standard chrome grip with the black leather. They only changed the the black leather for the safari leather. It is the same leather that is on the M10-P. I don't know if that is fake or not.

Looks gorgeous and the silver bottom plate suits the Safari M!
