Well, actually, the first one shows up how it can be worked out from DNG with Lightroom. Latter just for comparison how it looked originally.

looks a lot better than the first one but I think it's still underexposed. Give it another half stop at least and see what it looks like. Its always best to go to far in both directions then you will have a better chance of finding the sweet spot in the middle... it's easy to underexpose. Also keep in mind when making your composition to be aware of graphic tangencies. You could use a little bit of space between the light on the ground and the wire supporting the sculpture. If you were to have just moved a few inches to the right you could have avoided that. Keep it rolling..BEST DH

Actually the first one with more contrast is the one I did like better, I'm with Matero on not leaving details in the shadows [BIG EDIT] I just realised Matero also intended to bump detail in the shadows, I guess I'm on my own thinking the more contrasty one looks better ; )
Matter of taste I suppose!
