The M8.2 has such nice tones my photography friends call it the CCD look. I’ll take their word for it. Since I am a 28mm and wider street shooter the 21mm Summilux is the perfect match with the cropped sensor. This camera showcases the character of the Summilux - sharp but with a smooth vintage look more like classic Carl Zeiss than modern Asph Leica. Here’s one at either f1.4 or f2.

Interesting photos, but I'm lost.  Was that very early in the morning on a foggy day?  Curious what the orange object is - maybe they don't have these in Miami Florida, where I live.  The M8 did fine though.  It's me that's confused.

Thank you. This was a very foggy day. A frozen lake can be seen on both photos. The red (or orange) object is a buoy in the middle of ice.

Lovely photo!  At first, I thought maybe a slower shutter speed would be "better", but I love seeing all the spray.  It's also nice how the sunlight comes through the water, near the top.

I had no idea what a Visoflex III is or was - searched for it, and found this:  Visoflex III   .....I remember seeing these in Leica books and catalogs from back when I was a kid, but I've never seen the real thing.  Now I understand how it works, and it looks like a handy tool for the M8 camera.  I actually found one, used, at KEH, but I'm not sure I'd ever actually use it, now that I've got the M10 and the newer Visoflex.

It obviously works very well for you - and with the crop factor, your 400mm lens actually behaves like it is longer.

Oh my gosh!  Is THIS your lens??????
