What feels like a lifetime ago, after buying my M8.2 just before the M9 was released, I was told about the Leica filters being distributed to block the infrared light from doing unusual things to photos captured with the M8 and M8.2 - and Leica sent me a filter.  I never really needed it, or at least thought that was the case, because I mostly wanted to use the M8.2 for capturing images with infrared light, and for taking B&W photograph.  I recently took several "normal" photos with the camera, and several people including @jaapv pointed out the ugly yellowish green color - twice, if I remember correctly.

I ordered the filter adapter and mounted it on my 7Artisans 35mm f/2 lens, and went out today to take some sample photos to see what difference it made.  Turns out, instead of getting yellowish green trees, I now get real green.  I'll upload two photos from today - hopefully they look acceptable here.  The first was taken about half an hour before sunset, and the second one half an hour earlier.

Lovely photo, in so many ways.  Very nice!   .....and now that I'm living in Florida, it brings back wonderful memories of "winter, up north".

I have two 35mm lenses for my M8, my old Summilux, and my new 7Artisans 35 f/2.

(The Summilux 35mm lens accepts a Series 7 filter as I recall - not sure how to buy one of the Leica M8 anti-IR filters in series 7....  For the 7Artisans, it was easy.  Did you use a filter back when you captured this image with your Summicron?)

The series of photos you posted should help put an end to people who feel the M8 was just a mistake.  It was new, and Leica's first attempt, but to me the good things about the M8 far outweigh the things commonly referred to as "mistakes".  The M8 can do things newer Leica M cameras can't, but beautiful results depend on the photographer, not the technicalities.

Me?  I got tired of reading all the negative BS online, when I was actually using the M8.2 myself, and like any camera, it was more suited to some things than others.  The shop I bought it from, Roberts Imaging, offered me a very good trade in on an M9 (which was released a short time after they sold me the M8.2 as a new "demo" camera.  I had no interest in the "upgrade", which for me would have been a downgrade, as I have always enjoyed shooting infrared photos, long ago on Kodak infrared film.

Nice series of photos, each very different from the rest.  Just as nice as had you used a 2023 M12 Leica.  It's the photo that counts, not the tool, but better tools (sometimes) help make it easier to capture the photos we want.

I especially enjoy the B&W photo at a log mill.  I would have likely stepped backwards quite a bit, which would have missed the beauty of what you captured.
