M8+Biogon35 in 2010.  In B&W to see the difference between same setup on 8x10 and 4x5 scanned sheet film. Not much.

Newton Ellis L'pool recently serviced my Summaron 35/2.8 including dismantling / collimating goggles' optics, and dismantling / cleaning lens' optics ... was set-up / tested for use with Leica M3.  Yesterday I borrowed Leica Forum member mike_j's M8 to test the Summaron. Mike J accompanied me for a walk around Barnack village near Stamford, Lincs., UK where I photographed several of the limestone dwellings. I'm very happy with the 1962 vintage lens' performance on the M8; no IR blocking filter used.

M8  / Summaron 35/2.8 with Goggles & 3rd party hood ; ISO 160 / 1/500 / f5.6 ... very bright Sun 12.07 Noon. Lens is worthy of a custom case to ensure the goggles are protected ... plan to make same.

Another balmy day in Astoria.  Eat your hearts out you folks in the tropics and areas drenched in sun.  Take a gander at what today has brung to humble Astoria's West Mooring Basin.  The cruise ship, Regatta, is still overwintering here.  Not much moving today at we are having 30 - 40 MPH winds with gusts up to 65 MPH.  A good day to be inside, warm and dry.  Color, not B&W.

Technicals:  M8.2, Voigtländer 35mm 1.4 MC II, f/5.6, 1/360, ISO 160.
